Less than a week ago a friend posted an interesting video on my Facebook wall.  The video featured “On the Rocks,” the official acappella group at the University of Oregon performing Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. At the time the video had 3.8 million views and now has over 4 million! “On the Rocks” does not appear to be new. Videos of the group seem to date back as early as 2003 and can be found across several youtube channels featuring new students over the years.  But the recent exposure does seem to be new and the group has moved quickly to capitalize on their current... 

Social Media Budget Trends According to Bazaarvoice’s 2009 survey of 133 chief marketing officers, 62% said they would increase social media budgets for 2010. eMarketer published a report that found a 23% increase in social media spending in 2009. What’s more interesting is their forecasted increases: - 2010: 35% - 2011: 60% - 2012: 85% In 2009, web-strategist.com published research that found 53% of marketers were determined to increase social media budgets during the recession. In December 2009, Pepsi announced its plans to shift its 2010 Super Bowl advertising dollars ($20 million)...
