Less than a week ago a friend posted an interesting video on my Facebook wall.  The video featured “On the Rocks,” the official acappella group at the University of Oregon performing Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. At the time the video had 3.8 million views and now has over 4 million! “On the Rocks” does not appear to be new. Videos of the group seem to date back as early as 2003 and can be found across several youtube channels featuring new students over the years.  But the recent exposure does seem to be new and the group has moved quickly to capitalize on their current fame....

Social Media Budget Trends According to Bazaarvoice’s 2009 survey of 133 chief marketing officers, 62% said they would increase social media budgets for 2010. eMarketer published a report that found a 23% increase in social media spending in 2009. In September 2009 FineLine Multimedia began working with the Fred Rogers Center on developing a promotional video to support their e-marketing initiative. The goal: to promote the legacy of Fred Rogers as a champion of children’s education and highlight the work and success of the center. Saint Vincent College professor, Dr. Dawn Edmiston, provided marketing consultation to ensure a consistent message between the promotional video and e-marketing initiative. SITUATION: Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., the eleventh Archabbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey, was re-elected as the major superior of the Benedictine community in Latrobe Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 11. FineLine Multimedia was there at Saint Vincent to capture the official photograph of the benedictine community immediately following the election process.
