Marketing Internship Opportunity

Hi, my name is Dominique Stasko and I am entering my senior year at Saint Vincent College. During my spring semester of junior year I was looking for a marketing internship around the area. FineLine Multimedia came to my attention through an online job seeking site. I applied and soon heard back from the owner. A few weeks later I found out that I got the marketing internship for the summer. I was excited and began a few days after finals week. FineLine Multimedia has taught me many valuable tools that I will use in my life being a marketing major.

My Marketing Internship Responsibilities

I started out the Marketing Internship helping optimize the FineLine Multimedia website. I wrote a few blogs and set up a few social network accounts. I used reddit, facebook, digg, delicious, and bebo just to name a few social networks. As the summer progressed, I learned how to discover the best keywords to use for one of their clients’ marketing campaigns. I studied the top searches, rising searches, and the interest over time for the best ideas.

By the end of July, I started to help write blogs for other websites. The blogs for the websites took everything I learned from this Marketing Internship and wrapped it all together. I learned how to properly format a blog and optimize it for the search engines. I began to understand how all of the on-page factors help to inform Google and other search engines about the relevancy of the content to the user’s search criteria.

My Marketing Internship Final Notes

I have learned so much throughout the summer semester of my Marketing Internship. Learning through classes and actually doing the work hands-on is the best approach to higher education. Taking this Marketing Internship helped me learn about the importance of search engine optimization (SEO) and the value of remarkable content.

My Marketing Internship at Fineline Multimedia was the best experience I could of received. I feel like I have learned so much this summer that I would still not know if I did not take this Marketing Internship.
