DAY THREE On the evening of Day Two during my trip to Gettysburg, we received an incredible snowfall that continued throughout the night. What appeared as a town blanketed in snow on Day Two more closely resembled the North Pole on Day 3. I was immediately in trouble. The original plan for Day 3 was to spend time at the national cemetery and get shots of the rows and rows of markers. However these rows of markers were now buried under 2 feet of snow. DAY TWO During the night a heavy snowfall had blanketed the entire town of Gettysburg and the battlefields. The scene was extremely breathtaking and was certainly a motivator to get moving and take advantage of the beauty of Gettysburg in winter. BACKGROUND In recent months, FineLine Multimedia has been acquiring and working with the necessary equipment and hardware for DSLR video production. For those new to the terminology, DSLR video production is based around the use of DSLR photography cameras that have video capability. During the fourth week of January 2011, FineLine will be heading to Gettysburg, PA to produce a short film titled “Winter in Gettysburg.” The piece will be entirely shot on a Canon 5D Mark II and explore multiple methods of stabilization and moving shots.
